Your Co-op membership has the potential to save you money in a wide variety of ways.

With the ownership of three shares, you qualify for discounts on home and auto insurance, solar energy installations, well-drilling and pump service, and purchases at a local children’s store (see page 21). In addition, members can save money on seeds and garden accessories through our annual Fedco Seeds order, purchase infant and toddler car safety seats at wholesale prices, and pay less than non-members to attend Co-op classes.

Co-operative Insurance Companies

If you are a Hanover Co-op member owning at least three shares—and you live in either Vermont or New Hampshire—you qualify for a ten percent discount on your personal home, auto, and mini-farm insurance with Co-operative Insurance Companies of Middlebury, Vermont.

In addition to the obvious financial benefit of saving yourself a substantial amount of money over time, your patronage of Co-op Insurance supports another customer-owned business that returns economic benefit to our local communities.

Co-operative Insurance Companies is an association of three Vermont-based insurance companies with a service history dating back to 1915. As a mutual insurance company, it is owned by its policyholders rather than being traded publicly, and it focuses on serving members while maintaining long-term financial stability through responsible growth.
