Meet the members! Our Board of Directors is comprised of nine people who serve three-year terms. An annual election is held during the month of April. Board meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month at the Hanover Food Store. The Board uses the Policy Governance model to conduct its business, a process used by many cooperatives. Associate Director and Assistant Professor of Law, Institute for Energy and the Environment, Vermont Law School; former general counsel, New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission. Board Vice President, Cooperative Fund of New England; Board Member, Renewable Energy Vermont; freelance architecture writer and commentator. Term ends in 2011. President. Former high school teacher of foreign languages and English. Worked in the Carleton College (Northfield, MN) Library. In Scituate, MA, served as a Library Trustee and Board Chair; also a founding member and officer of a buyers’ cooperative.
Term ends in 2012. Nominating Committee Chair. Recent founder of a Slow Food USA Convivium in the Upper Valley. Early career spent as an event planner and fundraiser in non-profit arts organizations. Later served on the Friends of the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Board. Currently working in marketing.
