Co-op Natural: A New Service from Your Meat Departments

Because many Co-op customers wish to purchase meat and poultry products from animals raised without added hormones, antibiotics, and feed containing animal byproducts, the Co-op now offers the “Co-op Natural” label on certain qualifying products. To qualify, suppliers must provide verification that their meat or poultry comes from animals which were:

  • never given antibiotics;
  • never given hormones;
  • fed only 100 percent vegetable feed.
