Long before the word 'green' was used to market everything from game shows to gasoline, co-ops were touting the need for a more sustainable world. (We were green before green was cool.) Read below to learn about just some of the many things the Co-op is working on these days to help our Co-op, community, and the planet we share.
We're working to save one million bags this year, and we're going to need all the help you can give us to make it happen! When you shop at our stores, for every green bag you use or every bag you bring in yourself and re-use, you save one of our bags from going out the door and potentially ending up in a landfill. At the rate we're going, we're going to be about 100,000 bags shy by the end of the year. But by working together, we know we can reach our goal. It's a big goal but Co-op shoppers are sustainably minded. And when it comes to bags, there are many ways to save.
