Learn more about Job Shadow Day from the creative participants themselves.
On April 4, 2011, the Co-op web department hosted two students as part of Job Shadow Day, organized by the Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership. The students built the page you are reading now—gleefully taking advantage of the opportunity to satirize their host in a custom photo illustration. Below is the result of all their work and their candid reflections on the experience. —Ken Davis, Co-op Web Editor

On April 4th, 2011, our school had a job shadow day. Each of us was paired with a local company that had allowed students from nearby towns to shadow and experience a day in the life of an employee. We chose to come to the Co-op web department.
As we walked toward the offices, situated in Lebanon, we felt apprehensive about our day. As it turned out, there was nothing to worry about.
The experience started with cookies, a tour from a wonderful employee, and birthday cake. From the start, the whole department was very welcoming and made us feel at home. We chose to work with a photo-editing program (Photoshop) and were given a loose leash on what to create. With limited help, we made an illustration (pictured above) and created this web page.
The Co-op fostered a growing appreciation for visual arts. We would recommend that anyone interested in web or graphic design come to the Co-op for a great experience. Learn about setting up your own job shadow at UVBEP.
