Fresh, the film

Fresh Film Screening and Discussion

See the free screening of the film Fresh on Wednesday, April 14, at the Howe Library in Hanover, New Hampshire. Fresh is a film that celebrates the farmers, thinkers, and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet. See the film and join us for the post-film discussion!

Fresh Film Screening and Discussion
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
6:30 p.m.
The Howe Library
Hanover, NH

The screening and discussion of Fresh is sponsored by the Co-op Food Stores and Slow Food Upper Valley. A panel discussion with knowledgeable Co-op staff and members of Slow Food Upper Valley follows the screening. Both the film and discussion are free and open to the public. 100 seats available. First come, first served. Standing room only after 100 people. No preregistration required.

Real People Making a Difference

Fresh features urban farmer and activist, Will Allen, the recipient of MacArthur’s 2008 Genius Award; sustainable farmer and entrepreneur, Joel Salatin, made famous by Michael Pollan’s book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma; and supermarket owner, David Ball, challenging our Wal-Mart dominated economy.

How to Get Involved

Rather than screen the film in theaters in a few cities, the creators of Fresh have created a very different distribution model. They would like to put the 70-minute film into your hands so that you may use it as a tool to inspire and educate those around you. You have the capability of purchasing a screening license and creating the event that you think would benefit your community.
