October Community Partner: HCCF

October is National Co-op Month, and each year we feature the Hanover Cooperative Community Fund (HCCF) as our October Community Partner. Learn more about HCCF and how you can make a difference.

HCCF

The HCCF is a non-profit organization established by the Co-op’s Board of Directors in 2001. The Board uses interest generated by the fund to make annual donations to local nonprofit organizations that contribute to the quality of life of Upper Valley residents.

Giving back to the community is an integral part of our Co-op’s philosophy and essential to meeting its triple bottom lines of financial, environmental, and social responsibility.

Donations made through the HCCF are one of the many ways that our Co-op contributes to the common good of the Upper Valley. When the HCCF’s endowment met its five-year goal of $250,000 in October, 2007, the HCCF Committee promptly announced an updated goal of an additional $300,000 to be raised by the end of 2012.

How You Can Help:

  • Make a cash contribution to HCCF at the registers when you shop at the Co-op Food Stores, Co-op Community Market, or Service Center during October.
  • Support our Co-op Community Partner of the Month every month; ten percent of all receipts go to HCCF.
  • Donate your patronage refund check or send a donation to HCCF, Co-op Food Stores, 45 South Park St., Hanover, NH 03755.
