Question of the Week for November 14: Why Do You Shop at the Co-op?

A Sampling of Member Answers

  • The main reason I shop at the Coop is because of the large variety of hard-to-find products, especially in the bread section.
  • Truthfully, the main reason is that the three main stores are all conveniently located for me. However, given a choice between two stores in convenient locations, I would almost always choose a Coop, because I believe in Coop principles.
  • The main reason I shop at the Co-op is the breadth and quality of the offerings.
  • I shop at the Co-op mostly for specialty products, or when I need better-than-average meat or fish. I like buying local produce at the Co-op.
  • Quality of food and service.
  • There are so many: location/convenience, bulk foods, quality local meats and vegetables and an amazing staff. The main reason I like the Co-op, though, is because they hire and train a staff that is knowledgable, friendly and willing to help. It makes a chore an enjoyable experience.
