Here’s what you’ll need to win the Great Game of Business
1. Know and teach the rules. All employees must understand the rules before they will establish an interest in the game.
2. Follow the action and keep score. There has to be a scorecard to follow so you know if you’re winning or losing. (Whiteboards for example)
3. Provide a stake in the outcome. What’s the prize? We all want to achieve some level of recognition for our accomplishments. To reach higher goals we must establish targets and celebrate when we hit them.
4. The critical number is the weakness. If the team players are versed on the rules, watching the score, and excited about the payoff, then the organization will be in position to score the big wins and defeat the weaknesses in the company.
